I have experience working with various runners training for ultra marathons. For some it has been their first and for others they are now well seasoned in the world of ultra running. It can be particularly daunting thinking about training for an ultra when you live in the city, but it can be done and I can help to support you with your training and suggest training that will work for you.

As every ultra is different, a one size fits all package is often not suitable for these types of races, which is why a fully personalised training plan can really help. It’s also vital to train your mind as well as your body for ultras, and having the right mental strategy and mindset for the race is something I can also advise you on.

Training plans can be for as long as you need to take you to your goal race, but I’d suggest a minimum of six months to be fully race ready.
Assessment of current fitness levels, plus discussion on pace judgement, key technique points and race goals, via email/phone/Skype. Optional video assessment.
An individually tailored day by day schedule for you to follow, with continual online feedback from me.
Exercises and drills to help to improve your strength and mobility, making you a better runner and preventing injury.
Looking at not just how fast you run, but how you run. Improving your technique should lead to quicker times and reduced risk of injury.
Updates to your training plan based on your feedback and progress, monitored via Garmin/Strava. A full review each month via email/phone/Skype.
If you’ve got a query about your running, just contact me and I will guarantee to get back to you within 24 hours.
