A fully supported couch to 5k training plan could really help you to get going with your running, without dropping out and without getting injured. When you first start out with a new activity, the risk of overdoing it or doing it poorly is great. Although it might feel like running should be the most natural thing in the world, for many people it unfortunately isn’t. Most people spend the majority of their lives sitting down and as a result it’s necessary to retrain your body to want to stand up properly and run!
I’d suggest booking a three month block of training plans to get you going initially. This should get you to 5k easily and comfortably, and depending on how the training goes and what you want to achieve, you could even be running 10k by then!
